And so what is the economy, seen in the light of that truth? Is it merely a means of subsistence?… But it seems to me that the opposite is true. It is the purpose of our life. It is thanks to the economy that society emerged from the lives of separate individuals.
And this new understanding of the economy changes not only some aspect of theory, but practical action as well: how an economy is organised, how even a single enterprise is managed, and so on. To my mind, the economy is a kind of layer or blanket that covers the whole earth and transforms it into human society.
Without the economy, there would be no society.
…истинная цель — что я хочу вообще в жизни, что я хочу в своей работе и в сегодняшнем разговоре. Я хочу проникнуть в суть. До самых до корней, до сердцевины. Я хочу понять истину.
И вот что такое экономика с точки зрения этой истины? То ли она является средством нашего пропитания… Но мне кажется, наоборот. Она является целью нашей жизни. Благодаря экономике из жизни отдельных людей возникло общество.
И вот это новое понимание экономики меняет не только теорию какую-то, но меняет и практические действия по организации экономики, по управлению даже отдельным предприятием, и так далее. На мой взгляд, экономика — это такая полоса или покрывало, которое накрывает всю землю и создаёт из этой земли человеческое общество.
Не будь экономики — не было бы и общества.
